What a Custom Kitchen Includes
Custom kitchen design covers more than just cabinetry. It brings together layout planning, storage design, material selection, benchtop fabrication, hardware choices, and full installation into a single coordinated process.
Here is what you can expect when you work with Cobbitty Grove:
- Layout design built around your daily cooking, cleaning, and family routines, not a template pulled from a catalogue
- Cabinet construction using quality materials including 2pac finishes, solid timber, Polytec panels, and soft-close hardware rated for long-term daily use
- Benchtop selection across stone, engineered surfaces, and timber, chosen to suit your cooking habits, cleaning preferences, and budget
- Appliance integration so rangehoods, ovens, dishwashers, and fridges sit flush with surrounding joinery for a clean, streamlined result
- Internal fittings such as pull-out drawers, spice racks, corner carousels, and bin systems that make daily kitchen tasks simpler
- Full installation handled by our own licensed team, coordinated with your builder or other trades if you are mid-renovation or in a new build
Whether you need a large island kitchen for a new home in Oran Park or a space-efficient galley kitchen in an older Camden cottage, the design process is shaped by the room you have and the life you live in it.
Why Choose Cobbitty Grove for Custom Kitchens
Cobbitty Grove has been building custom kitchens across the Macarthur region for over 40 years. Our workshop in Smeaton Grange handles every stage of production, from cutting and edging to assembly and finishing. That means no outsourced manufacturing, no freight delays, and full quality control on every unit that leaves our facility.
When something needs to change on site, we adjust it the same week because the workshop is local. That speed and flexibility matters during renovations where timelines shift and trades overlap.
Our in-house interior designers work with you from the first consultation through to final sign-off. They guide you through finish options, colour palettes, handle selections, and layout flow so that every decision is practical and aligned with how you want your kitchen to look and function.
We also partner with trusted local trades for plumbing, electrical, tiling, and splashback installation. If your project involves structural changes or council approvals, our team can support you through that process as well.
How the Process Works
1. Free Foundations Package
You start with a complimentary consultation and measure. One of our designers visits your home (or reviews your building plans), measures the space, and discusses your layout goals, style preferences, and budget. You receive non-measurement plans, 3D drawings, and a detailed quote at no cost.
2. Design Development
Once you are ready to move forward, we refine the design with precision measurements, final material selections, and appliance specifications. You visit our Smeaton Grange showroom to see and touch finishes, compare handle styles, and walk through your 3D kitchen layout in detail.
3. Manufacturing
Your kitchen is built in our Smeaton Grange workshop. Every panel, drawer, and shelf is cut, edged, and assembled by our team using the exact specifications from your approved design. Because manufacturing is local, we maintain tight tolerances and can respond to any site-driven changes quickly.
4. Installation
Our licensed installers deliver and fit your kitchen on a scheduled timeline. We coordinate with any other trades working on your home so that cabinetry arrives at the right stage and the install runs without delays or conflicts.
