Kitchen Benchtops and Splashback Continuity
AC Stone in the colour Rain was selected as the primary benchtop material to introduce a light-reflective surface and neutral base tone. The 40mm stone features mitred edges throughout, with the kitchen island constructed with dual mitred waterfall ends, creating a sculptural centrepiece within the space.
A full-height stone splashback extends the surface material vertically, creating a clean, continuous line between bench and wall, unifying all work areas while delivering durability and visual cohesion. Cobbitty Grove Kitchens consistently recommends full-height splashbacks in natural stone for their minimalistic elegance and ease of maintenance.
Polyurethane Cabinetry in Porters Paint Palette
Cobbitty Grove Kitchens manufactured and painted all polyurethane cabinetry using two curated colours from the Porters Paints range:
-
Rubble – a warm, neutral tone with grounded depth
-
French Green – a soft, muted green for subtle contrast
Cabinet doors were finished in Gloss 30% sheen and built using the Hampton profile, with EM9 edge detailing and 18mm door thickness. The overhead cabinets feature handleless doors with bottom finger slots, enhancing visual simplicity and clean horizontal lines.
Floating Shelves and Oak Accents
Four floating shelves were custom fabricated from Polytec laminate in Tasmanian Oak Woodmatt finish, designed with 33mm thickness and 1mm PVC edge profiling. These timber elements introduce organic texture and warmth to the kitchen, balancing the gloss cabinetry and stone surfaces. The shelves were installed in symmetrical placements to create vertical rhythm within the wall elevation.
Base Cabinet Hardware and Handles
Functional hardware throughout the kitchen was selected for both reliability and design integration. Key hardware features include:
-
Castella handles applied to all base cabinets and drawers
-
Hole centres and handle positions drilled on-site for precise alignment and symmetry
Cobbitty Grove Kitchens installs high-performance cabinetry hardware to ensure long-term ease of use and seamless design expression.
Custom TV Unit with Matching Materials
The adjacent TV unit was designed and manufactured using the same materials, finishes, and profiles to ensure design continuity throughout the living area.

Interior Mood and Palette
The Kangaloon Kitchen embodies a calm coastal palette defined by soft neutrals, warm oak tones, and delicate stone veining. The integration of stone waterfalls, full-height splashbacks, and floating oak shelves creates a layered interior that feels serene and structured. The Hampton profile cabinetry adds classical softness, while the gloss finish reflects light gently throughout the space.
