Custom Kitchens and Kitchen Renovations for Bowral Homes

Bowral homes range from federation houses and heritage properties to newer builds, and each one needs a kitchen that suits the house as well as the people cooking in it. Cobbitty Grove Kitchens has designed and built custom kitchens since 1981, and Bowral and the wider Southern Highlands are part of our regular service area.

Whether you want a full kitchen renovation with a new layout or a facelift that replaces the doors, panels, handles and benchtops on your existing cabinets, we take care of the project from design concept through to final installation. Every cabinet is made to measure in our factory in Smeaton Grange, so it fits your room rather than a catalogue size.

What a Bowral Kitchen Renovation Includes

A full kitchen renovation with Cobbitty Grove can include a new layout planned around how you cook and move through the room, custom cabinetry built in our Smeaton Grange workshop, benchtops in stone, engineered surfaces or timber, appliances integrated to sit flush with the joinery, and guidance on a splashback that ties the finishes together. If the job needs plumbing, electrical or tiling work, we coordinate trusted local trades so you are not managing them yourself.

If your kitchen layout already works and the cabinet boxes are sound, a facelift is the faster option. We replace the doors, drawer fronts, panels, handles and benchtops without removing the cabinets underneath, and the room still gets a completely new look.

Kitchens That Suit Bowral’s Heritage Homes

Many Bowral renovations are in older homes, where the new kitchen has to sit comfortably with the original features. Shaker cabinetry, classic stone benchtops and elegant profiles are popular in Bowral heritage homes, and they pair well with original timber floors, feature pendant lighting and the tall ceilings common in older houses. We can also match new kitchen joinery to existing timber trims so it sits naturally with the rest of the house. For new homes, we work with local builders, architects and homeowners, and our Southern Highlands work ranges from compact kitchen updates to full-scale renovations.

You can see the detail in two of our Bowral projects. The Timeless Two-Tone Kitchen in Bowral pairs creamy Fair Bianca cabinetry with deep navy accents, satin brass hardware and a full-height Calacatta stone splashback, with an island that holds a farmhouse-style sink. The Refined Custom Joinery in Bowral project carried custom cabinetry through the kitchen, bar, library and ensuite of one home. For more Southern Highlands work, including kitchens in Bundanoon and Kangaloon, see our recent projects or our page on kitchen renovations across the Southern Highlands.

How Your Bowral Kitchen Renovation Works

It starts with our free Foundations Package: a consult and measure with one of our interior designers, plans and 3D drawings, a detailed quotation, one plan revision and a one-hour showroom appointment to choose your finishes. If you want a more detailed design service, our Designer Package ($880 inc. GST) adds an on-site consult and measure, detailed measurement plans and 3D drawings you keep, a colour selection appointment and appliance advice. The fee is applied as a credit to your contract if you go ahead with us.

Once you approve the design, your cabinetry is manufactured in our Smeaton Grange factory and installed in your home. Bowral is inside our Southern Highlands service area, so the day fee we charge for travel outside our service areas does not apply.

Kitchen Renovations in Bowral: Frequently Asked Questions

Do you do kitchen renovations in Bowral?

Yes. Bowral and the wider Southern Highlands, including Mittagong and Moss Vale, are part of our service area. We have completed kitchens and custom joinery in Bowral, Bundanoon and Kangaloon.

How much does a kitchen renovation in Bowral cost?

The price depends on the size of the kitchen, whether the layout changes, the benchtop material, custom storage and appliance integration. Our free Foundations Package includes a detailed quotation, and our guide to what a custom kitchen costs in NSW explains what a quote should include.

Can you design a kitchen to suit a heritage home?

Yes. We design cabinetry that respects the character of older homes, including shaker doors and traditional profiles, and we can match new kitchen joinery to existing features such as timber trims.

Do I need to replace the whole kitchen?

Not always. If your cabinet boxes are in good condition, a facelift replaces the doors, drawer fronts, panels, handles and benchtops without removing the cabinets. Our designer will help you work out which option suits your kitchen and budget.

Where are your kitchens made?

Every kitchen is manufactured in our factory in Smeaton Grange, where our showroom is too. Choosing your colours and finishes in the showroom is part of our design packages.
